Malaysia will be the focus of the medical industry again, as the country welcomes the World Congress of Nephrology 2022 (WCN’22) delegates at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 24th to 27th February 2022. Supported by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), organised by the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and joint by Malaysia Society of Nephrology (MSN) alongside Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology (APSN), this congress hosts the world’s leading experts in kidney health to exchange the latest science and clinical applications in improving kidney care and preventing kidney disease worldwide.
Being the first international hybrid event of 2022, MyCEB is pleased with the great response in the number of international delegates attending physically and virtually and this is due to the impressive lineup of plenary speakers that put forth a compact and impactful topics. More than 3,000 delegates are attending the event online with more than 900 Malaysians attending the event physically making it one of the highest turnouts for medical congress since the pandemic.
“Hosting a world congress is not easy but we at the Malaysian Society of Nephrology are glad to have undying support and encouragement by our delegates from all over the world. We also receive a never-ending support from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) who have helped us since the biding stage until the congress is finally here in Kuala Lumpur.” says Professor Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Gafor, President of Malaysia Society of Nephrology.
The World Congress of Nephrology 2022 (WCN’22) highlights three scientific themes within its programme which are Kidney Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, and Acute Kidney Injury. In addition, WCN’22 will also feature The ISN Community Film Event. A unique initiative to raise awareness and improve understanding the reality of living with kidney disease. This shows that demonstrating the confidence of international event organisers in Malaysia will create even more opportunities for high-quality international congresses to be held in the region.
