Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) hosted an elegant appreciation dinner to express gratitude to the media for their invaluable support throughout the transformative journey of the business events industry.
The event, known as MyCEB Media Networking Session : A Million Connections, One Story, was attended by 60 esteemed representatives from leading media agencies. During the appreciation dinner, MyCEB seized the opportunity to welcome and introduce YBhg. Dato’ Roslan Tan Sri Abdul Rahman, Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC) cum Chairman of MyCEB, and Chief Executive Officer, YBrs. Encik Azman Haji Tambi Chik. The warm celebration featured welcome speeches, opening remarks, and discussions on future initiatives by Dato’ Roslan and Encik Azman for MyCEB.

During the event, MyCEB revealed its readiness for the dynamic future of media engagement, adopting a multifaceted approach. The Bureau aims to foster stronger cooperation and partnerships with media entities, envisioning a landscape of sustained success and excellence in the business events industry. Additionally, MyCEB is prepared to facilitate regular media visits to enhance mutual understanding of industry offerings.
Media partners will enjoy an exclusive experience, receiving direct invitations to attend programmes and events organised by MyCEB. Furthermore, MyCEB plans to engage in insightful roundtable discussions with media representatives, establishing a vital platform for exchanging perspectives and valuable ideas.
Reflecting on the achievements for 2023, MyCEB shared a total PR value achievement of RM174.8 million from January to date. This significant figure serves as evidence of media support and commitment, contributing to the resilience and success of the industry.
Looking forward to 2024, MyCEB is excited to craft more engaging programmes and activities with the media, recognising media as the foundation of the industry. With continuous support and coverage from the media, MyCEB is poised for success, having secured 305 business events to be held between 2023 and 2030. The estimated number of international and local delegates expected to attend these events is nearly one million.
