As this is the time for caring and sharing, the newly opened PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka Resort is strongly committed to take an active role in making communities around it a better place to be for all. It engages its associates, guests, and community partners to develop effective ways in creating a sustainable value for the community in which we live and work. This fasting month, the resort brought its social responsibility commitment to live by organizing a ‘Majlis Sajian Warisan Kampung’ with 50 Orang Asli children from Kampung Bukit Payung.
On hand to greet the little VIPS aged 1 to 12 years old were the resort’s General Manager, Anthony Quin, and heads of departments. Also present was Puan Noorfadzllia Ashikin binti Shafiee from Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli Negeri Melaka, (Cawangan Alor Gajah Dan Jasin) and Encik Nur Isjemei Bin Ismail, Penghulu (Chief) of Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Payung.
The children, parents and caregivers were indeed happy with the delicious spread of dishes to break fast while being entertained by the lively 3-piece Buskers (Tiga Serangkai Band) and the resort’s mascot.
Each child received duit raya of RM10 from the resort, a goody bag graciously sponsored by Mamee Double Decker Malaysia Berhad, Ayer Keroh and a stationery set by Global Gifuto Sdn Bhd.
Anthony Quin thanked the sponsors for their support in partnering with the resort’s first corporate social responsibility event since it opened its doors on 22 January 2024.
The resort’s Executive Chef Joseph and his culinary team prepared a delicious array of dishes for the children such as Lemang, Ketupat, Serunding Ikan and Ayam, Roti Canai, Murtabak, Chapati, Chicken Curry, Barbeque Giant Skewered Meat and Fish, Mee Rebus, Wanton Noodle Soup, Mee Mamak, Fried Char Koay Teow, Kambing Panggang, Biryani Rice Chicken Rice, Satay, Roti John, Chilli Crab, Ayam Goreng Berempah Jiwa, Ikan Goreng, Roasted Duck, Ayam Percik, Lala with Oyster Ginger Sauce, Tempe Kacang, Ayam Kampung Panggang, Udang Goreng Mamak, North Indian Salted Lamb, Ikan Duri Masak Berlada, Gulai Siput Batang Keladi, Assam Pedasand Szechuan Deep-fried Garoupa, not forgetting irresistible desserts and sweet treats.
The night ended with smiling faces as the children had a wonderful time in PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka Resort.
