Datuk Dr. M. Gandhi, the newly elected President of the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS), held a pivotal meeting with Mr. Azman Haji Tambi Chik, CEO of the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB). Also in attendance was Dato’ Vincent Lim, Honorary President of MACEOS. The meeting marked the beginning of several key initiatives aimed at elevating the business events industry in Malaysia.
The discussions underscored a robust partnership between MACEOS and MyCEB, emphasizing the need for collaboration to expand the market and create more opportunities for industry members. Datuk Dr. M. Gandhi stressed the importance of working closely with government agencies and stakeholders to achieve these goals. “All members should unite to expand the business events market, ensuring significant benefits for everyone. Developing talent is also crucial to having a competitive and resilient workforce,” he stated.
MACEOS expressed enthusiasm about future collaborations with MyCEB, particularly highlighting the organization of EVENTXPO 2024 during the Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) from 19-21 August 2024. Datuk Dr. M. Gandhi praised Mr. Azman Haji Tambi Chik’s leadership, noting, “We appreciate the strong leadership and support of MyCEB CEO Mr. Azman Haji Tambi Chik, who is highly respected and accepted by the industry. His efforts have greatly improved the business events industry, making Malaysia a top destination for international events.”
