The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) marked a key milestone in driving the nation’s Business Events (BE) agenda with the successful hosting of Association Day 2025 & Kesatria Malaysia Induction Ceremony. Held at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, the event united influential association leaders and policymakers to celebrate industry champions, strengthen collaboration, and reinforce Malaysia’s role as a preferred destination for impactful global events.

Purpose-Led Leadership for Sustainable Associations

The theme “Governing with Purpose, Leading with Impact” emphasised the importance of purpose-driven leadership, strong governance and measurable impact in ensuring the long-term relevance of associations. The session highlighted that associations must move beyond being activity-focused and instead prioritise value creation, accountability, trust and meaningful outcomes for members and stakeholders.

The keynote also reinforced that sustainable associations are built on clear purpose, disciplined leadership, ethical governance and the courage to make decisions that strengthen the organisation for the future. Through the 4W1H framework, association leaders were encouraged to reflect on their relevance, leadership approach and long-term impact in an increasingly complex environment.
