Four Points by Sheraton Puchong, the first international hotel to establish a presence in Puchong, has announced an extensive refurbishment that will elevate the overall guest experience while maintaining the brand’s signature modern and uncomplicated character. This marks the hotel’s first major enhancement since its opening in 2014.
Strategically located in the heart of a thriving business and culinary district, Four Points by Sheraton Puchong has long been a preferred choice for today’s business traveller who balances productivity with leisure. The hotel remains well positioned for corporate guests with demanding schedules and is equally suited for families, offering spacious family rooms that comfortably accommodate up to four guests. With convenient access to key attractions such as IOI Mall Puchong, Sunway Lagoon Waterpark, and Spacerubix E-Sport & Fitness Complex, the hotel provides an ideal setting for both business commitments and short getaway experiences.
Over the years, the hotel has demonstrated strong performance with competitive occupancy and room rates, reinforcing its reputation as one of Puchong’s leading hospitality establishments. The refurbishment reflects the owner’s continued confidence in the property and aligns with Marriott Bonvoy’s commitment to delivering elevated, guest-centric experiences within an increasingly competitive hospitality landscape.
The new design concept draws inspiration from Puchong’s early economic heritage, particularly the tin mining and rubber tapping industries that shaped the town’s development. These influences are reflected through rubber leaf patterns, tree bark textures, and water dew drop motifs incorporated into the hotel’s architectural screens, rugs, furniture, and lighting features. Tin mining contours, tones, and textures are applied across fabrics and furnishings, while locomotive-inspired elements pay homage to the region’s industrial past. The hotel also introduces design details inspired by the Green Heron, whose Malay name, “Pucung”, is widely believed to be the origin of the name Puchong.
The refurbishment commenced in August 2025, beginning with updates to the entrance and front desk, which will be unveiled soon. The redesigned lobby will feature a timeless and relaxed aesthetic, showcasing Four Points’ latest corporate blue palette alongside vintage-modern furniture to create an inviting and contemporary environment. Guests can expect a seamless arrival experience at the refreshed front desk, complemented by the brand’s signature shelving that displays nostalgic travel memorabilia, reflecting the essence of Travel Reinvented.
The next phase of enhancements includes the transformation of the hotel’s two dining outlets, The Eatery and the Lobby Lounge, both scheduled to reopen in January 2026 ahead of Chinese New Year and the Ramadan season. The Lobby Lounge will introduce a 360-degree bar set within a contemporary and well-lit space, complete with ergonomic seating, work-friendly tables, and expansive glass panels that allow natural daylight to fill the area. An outdoor alfresco section overlooking the dynamic streets of Puchong will offer a relaxed setting to enjoy beverages from the hotel’s signature Best Brews program.
The Eatery will unveil a refreshed interior that blends wood accents, tiles, built-in sofas, and signature blue tones, creating a warm and stylish environment suitable for casual, all-day dining.
Further upgrades include enhancements to the I-Spot Business Center and the lift lobbies, both adopting the new tin mining and locomotive-inspired design elements. The I-Spot will be repositioned as a flexible meeting space available for rental, catering to intimate corporate meetings and private events.
The ground floor refurbishment is scheduled for completion in January 2026, followed by guest room renovations beginning in February 2026. The newly updated rooms will feature a contemporary design and the introduction of the Four Comfort Bed for an enhanced rest experience. Renovation works will proceed in phases to minimise guest inconvenience, with the first set of refurbished rooms expected to be available by mid-2026.
Through this comprehensive transformation, Four Points by Sheraton Puchong continues to embody the principles of Travel Reinvented, offering stylish simplicity, genuine service, and thoughtful touches that create memorable guest experiences.
