The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Azman Haji Tambi Chik as the new Chief Executive Officer of the national bureau, effective 20 November 2023.
In his capacity as CEO, Azman will lead the charge in steering Malaysia’s business events industry, a pivotal driver of the nation’s economy. His extensive experience in corporate management across diverse industries, including tourism, hospitality, F&B, and technology, positions him as a valuable addition to the leadership team.
Boasting a career spanning over 30 years, Mr. Azman has made significant contributions to renowned organizations such as Damansara Holdings Berhad (DBhd) and Johor Corporation (JCorp). Notably, he played a pivotal role in enhancing the profitability of Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia (RHSM) by introducing guest satisfaction indicators. His expertise also extends to facilitating technological advancements for various start-ups in Malaysia.
The MyCEB Board of Directors recognises Azman’s passion for team building and his proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders. These attributes are deemed crucial in championing the myriad organizations and interests that constitute the business events industry.
