Sarawak has made a significant impact with its first-ever stand at EVENTXPO 2024, the newest B2B tradeshow held in conjunction with Malaysia Business Events Week. Representing Kuching, Sibu, and Miri, twelve exhibitors have united to champion business event legacies in Peninsular Malaysia, driving industry growth in alignment with the Tribe Legacy Sarawak campaign.
EVENTXPO, organised by the Malaysian Association of Conference and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS), launched on 19 August and is poised to become an annual platform to showcase Malaysia’s latest business event products, services, technology, trends, and insights.
As Sarawak enters its second year of implementing the Legacy Impact Master Action Plan (Legacy MAP) 2023–2025, EVENTXPO serves as an ideal platform for exploring new opportunities.
Datuk Dr M Gandhi, President of MACEOS, shared his vision for the long-term impact of business events in nation-building. “MACEOS has a very clear strategic roadmap. We want to position ourselves as an industry consultant that advocates business events as a key economic contributor while providing education to the industry. Ultimately, we want Malaysia to become the business events hub in ASEAN.”
