Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) is proud to announce key leadership appointments effective July 2025, with two internal promotions and one new appointment.
Mr Jason Tan Chin Foo has been appointed to Deputy Chief Executive Officer, after serving as General Manager of Business Development and Marketing. Since joining in 2012, Jason has played a vital role in shaping Sarawak’s global presence through strategic initiatives aligned with the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
Ms Anedia Kahar, a pioneer team member since 2006, has been appointed to General Manager of Business Development and Services, having previously served as Deputy General Manager for Business Development and Research. She has been instrumental in implementing Sarawak’s Legacy Impact framework and advancing event performance strategies.
BESarawak also welcomes Mr Joachim Soon as General Manager for Capacity and Digitalisation, responsible for leading talent development and digital innovation. His extensive experience in training, communications, and digital engagement will support the future growth of Sarawak’s business events ecosystem.
These developments reflect BESarawak’s commitment to organisational growth and its vision of positioning Sarawak as a global leader in legacy-driven business events.
