Malaysia is strengthening its position in China’s Business Events market as the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) makes its inaugural participation at the China International MICE Exchange (CIMX) 2026, held from 3 to 5 November 2026 at the China National Convention Centre II (CNCC II) in Beijing.
The participation marks an important step in Malaysia’s efforts to deepen engagement with one of its key international markets, expand industry partnerships and attract more international Business Events to the country.
China remains an important market for Malaysia’s Business Events industry, presenting opportunities to attract international events while fostering closer collaboration with buyers, event organisers and industry stakeholders. Through CIMX 2026, MyCEB is engaging directly with Chinese and international buyers to showcase Malaysia’s capabilities as a destination for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions, while exploring potential business opportunities.

The inaugural edition of CIMX 2026 is expected to bring together more than 200 exhibitors, over 350 buyers and approximately 5,000 trade visitors. More than 9,000 business meetings are anticipated throughout the three-day event, supported by targeted business matchmaking, knowledge-sharing sessions and networking opportunities.
Miss Tan Mei Phing, Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB, said the Bureau’s participation demonstrates its proactive approach to strengthening engagement with key international markets and driving business opportunities for Malaysia.

MyCEB’s presence at CIMX 2026 also provides an opportunity to highlight Malaysia’s modern infrastructure, diverse convention facilities, established hospitality sector and distinctive destination experiences to the international Business Events community.
By engaging directly with potential buyers and event organisers, the Bureau aims to identify new event opportunities, strengthen commercial relationships and reinforce Malaysia’s competitiveness as a destination for international Business Events.
The participation underscores Malaysia’s continued efforts to build stronger international industry connections and translate destination promotion into business opportunities that support the long-term growth of the country’s Business Events sector.
