In a momentous press conference today at KOMTAR, the International Advertising Association (IAA) World Congress organisers, and co-host, the Penang state, expressed their enthusiasm and preparedness to host the 45th IAA World Congress scheduled for March 6-8, 2024. Anticipated to draw 1000 global attendees, the congress is poised to contribute an estimated economic impact of RM5.836 million for Penang.
John D Chacko, President of IAA Malaysia, Vice President of IAA Global, and Chairman of the World Congress, declared, “IAA Malaysia and the Penang state government proudly stand as hosts for the groundbreaking 45th IAA World Congress, a historic event marking the first of its kind in South East Asia. Under the theme, ‘Brand: RE-CODE, for a Better World, Better Life,’ this Congress is not merely a convergence of ideas but a celebratory moment commemorating the 85th Anniversary of IAA Global, the 30th Anniversary of IAA Malaysia, and International Women’s Day.”
The Congress promises insights from over 30 C-suite speakers, engaging in mainstage sessions and panel discussions addressing critical issues in marketing, AI, and technology. The Chief Minister highlighted the necessity for Penang to stay abreast of ongoing transformations and the imminent impact of AI on the global landscape.
Encouraging local participation, the Chief Minister urged businesses and organizations from various industries to seize the opportunity. “Participation in the Congress offers a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration, positioning Penang as a thriving hub for diverse industries,” he affirmed.
