As Malaysia’s durian season returns, Palm Garden Hotel, Putrajaya, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is once again inviting guests to savour the King of Fruits through the return of Durian Hub 2026, while introducing a fresh concept aimed at the corporate meetings market.
Running every Friday and Saturday from 5.00pm to 10.00pm throughout July to September (subject to durian availability), Durian Hub transforms the hotel’s Palms Café Terrace into an evening gathering space where hotel guests and the public can enjoy freshly opened premium durians in a relaxed al-fresco setting.
The experience goes beyond simply enjoying durians. Guests may pair their selection with à la carte offerings and beverages from Palms Café, creating a casual social atmosphere that celebrates one of Malaysia’s most anticipated seasonal traditions.
Special privileges are also extended to Club IOI members, IOI Group staff, and associates from neighbouring properties including Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, Le Méridien Putrajaya, Moxy Putrajaya and Four Points by Sheraton Puchong.
A Malaysian Take on Corporate Hospitality
While Durian Hub continues to serve leisure travellers and local visitors, Palm Garden Hotel is also introducing Durian Meeting Escape, a concept that brings a distinctly Malaysian flavour to business meetings and corporate events.
Rather than ending a meeting or training session with the conventional coffee break of sandwiches and pastries, the new package replaces the traditional afternoon refreshment with freshly served premium durians accompanied by refreshing ice kacang.
The concept is designed to create a more memorable post-meeting experience, allowing organisations to incorporate a uniquely local element into their corporate programmes while encouraging networking and informal conversations after business sessions conclude.
Speaking during the launch of Durian Hub 2026, the hotel’s General Manager described the initiative as an opportunity to transform the way meeting delegates experience hospitality.
Instead of the usual refreshments, delegates are invited to end a productive day with premium durians and traditional Malaysian desserts, creating an experience that is both authentic and memorable.
To mark the launch, Palm Garden Hotel is offering a 5% promotional incentive for Durian Meeting Escape packages confirmed during the launch event.
Celebrating a Seasonal Favourite
For Palm Garden Hotel, Durian Hub has evolved into more than a seasonal promotion. It has become an annual occasion that brings together hotel guests, local communities and visitors in celebration of one of Malaysia’s most iconic fruits.
As the season unfolds, the hotel hopes Durian Hub 2026 will once again become a familiar weekend gathering point, where conversations continue over freshly opened durians, friends reconnect, and business associates discover a different way to experience Malaysian hospitality.
By pairing a popular seasonal attraction with an innovative corporate offering, Palm Garden Hotel demonstrates how local culture can be thoughtfully integrated into both leisure experiences and business events, creating moments that are distinctly Malaysian and memorable long after the last durian has been enjoyed.
