Penang will be hosting its largest incentive group convention once again after a hiatus of 2 years. The renowned V-Convention Malaysia by V Global will be coming back with close to 13,000 delegates from 50 countries.
The five-day event will see a series of motivational speeches, product, and services training, a trade exhibition as well as a corporate conference happening simultaneously at Setia SPICE Convention Centre. Themed ‘Be The Change’, the conference serves as a platform to motivate individuals to not only improve their lives and the lives of others but at the same time to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship.
Quoting the theme of the convention this year, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow quoted, “I would like to highlight the theme of this year’s V-convention which goes as, BE THE CHANGE that caught my attention. It’s indeed an amazing message to people of all ages that all failures and successes must be reaped with our own hands. It’s pivotal to find our purpose, paving the way, and choose to be the creators of our own journeys. And I have to mention that Penang has always stood by this and created a name and legacy on its own. And the milestones achieved by Penang during these years are significant and impeccable.”
The convention will show that the Penang industry is now ready, capable, and well-equipped to welcome a large number of delegates for conferences such as the V-convention. It paves the way to raise the standards and put Penang on a global pedestal as a capable and preferred Incentive and tourism destination in the Asia Pacific.
Most importantly, this convention is set to play a significant role in activating the incentive travel sectors again in order to boost demand for the destination. And, this will be a great opportunity in strengthening the state tourism sector.
