The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) today reaffirmed its strong partnership with members of the media through the second edition of its Media Engagement (Vol. 2), held at De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan, Bangsar Shopping Centre.
The engagement session brought together editors, journalists and media partners to share MyCEB’s latest industry achievements, strategic initiatives and preparations for Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026, while recognising the media’s continued role in promoting Malaysia as a leading Business Events destination..
Speaking at the event, MyCEB Chief Executive Officer Ms Tan Mei Phing highlighted the Bureau’s success in securing 416 Business Events scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2030.

“As of 30 June 2026, MyCEB has secured 416 Business Events to be held from 2026 to 2030, with a projected Estimated Economic Impact (EEI) of RM3.98 billion. These achievements reflect the continued confidence of international organisers in Malaysia’s capabilities, strong industry ecosystem and world-class hospitality.”
She added that MyCEB continues to strengthen Malaysia’s global competitiveness through international sales missions, strategic partnerships, enhanced media and digital communications, and industry development initiatives that support the sustainable growth of the Business Events industry.
During the engagement, MyCEB also introduced the inaugural edition of the BE Horizon Bulletin, a new publication featuring market insights, industry developments and updates on Malaysia’s Business Events landscape. The bulletin, together with other publications and industry resources, is available on the MyCEB website.

Looking ahead, Ms Tan invited members of the media to participate in Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026, which will be held from 3 to 5 August 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre under the theme, “Weaving Horizons: Shaping the Tapestry of Tomorrow.”

Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026 will serve as MyCEB’s flagship annual industry platform, bringing together government representatives, industry leaders, association executives, corporate planners and Business Events professionals to exchange insights, foster collaboration and explore opportunities that will shape the future of Malaysia’s Business Events industry.

The engagement was also attended by industry leaders, including Nigel Wong, President of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA), and Eric Ho , President of the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS), reflecting the strong collaboration across Malaysia’s tourism and Business Events industry in supporting the success of MBEW 2026
