The event which is organised by the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) since 2016, is dedicated to enriching the nation’s business events industry.
This year, BEF 2019 will be taking centre stage at the country’s biggest venue, the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) Kuala Lumpur on the 23 October. The event is expected to draw 400 delegates locally and regionally.
Undertaking the theme BE Memorable, BEF 2019 will largely focus on the mega trend of festivalisation and innovation, seen increasingly impacting the business events industry.
BEF 2019 will be channeling the knowledge of festivalisation and more through three highlight sessions including BE Inspired which introduces the topic itself and BE Innovative, to give delegates the opportunity to hear about ground-breaking solutions from experienced speakers. The final session BE Youth is dedicated to the future players of the country. Under this session, the youth of the industry will be given a chance to share and pitch their ideas to seasoned mentors.
The Forum will feature both local and international speakers, with Kamarul Bahrin Haron, Vice President & Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Astro Awani as the keynote speaker. Kamarul who has participated actively in renowned world class events like the World Economic Forum as a journalist and moderator will be presenting his insights under the topic BE Evolution: Content & Festive Play.
Alongside other prominent speakers, Kamarul will be touching on topics such as innovation and owning one’s Intellectual Properties (IPs) as he continued, “For Astro Awani, our Content & Festive Play is a clear unique selling proposition of our IPs and this has catapulted us practically overnight from just a media organisation to also a new but fast-growing business events player. I believe partnering with bigger and more experienced Business Events companies and professionals can even bring the whole industry in Malaysia to another level. And sharing the knowledge is the best way to see success across industries. I look forward to meeting everyone at BEF 2019”.
Apart from idea generation and knowledge sharing, the BE Marketplace is where businesses and companies can exhibit and promote their services and products to those attending the Forum.
